Star Battle — a shooter where fuel beats ammo

Star Battle

In most shooters the main currency is ammo or lives. Here it is fuel. It melts every second, and when the needle nears zero, neither cannon nor score helps. That is Star Battle — a space shooter where survival is measured in liters.

What falls from the sky

Beyond enemies and meteorites fall fuel canisters — and the real hunt is for them. Each canister extends life, so routes build not around "where it is safe" but "where the next canister is". Sometimes you fly through a swarm — for a gulp of kerosene.

Yet shooting matters: enemy ships and meteorites score, planets score double but take two hits. Every enemy collision ruptures the tank — fuel drains faster. A loop: the more aggressive you play, the more fuel you need, the riskier the routes.

Spare your own

A separate rule — allies. Colliding with them costs points, so spraying everything is out. Aiming becomes its own art: friendly and hostile silhouettes differ, but at speed eyes confuse them.

Atmosphere

Starfield, neon tracers, explosions, background music — visuals and sound sell the speed. P pauses, M mutes. And after a run — a local leaderboard: scores save, chase yesterday's self.

Who will enjoy it

Fans of survival games where losing is a matter of time and mastery is delaying it. Runs are short, stakes are clear, and "one more fuel flight" sounds as contagious as "one more run" in roguelikes.
