Mercury Clock Rhythm — an honest story about a game that owns your evening
Sometimes the simplest-looking game hooks you harder than a blockbuster. This is exactly that case: the rules take a minute to learn, and putting it down is much harder.

What this game is
Mercury Clock is a rhythm game about an old thermometer-clock. A mercury column walks inside a glass bulb while a tempo band slides next to it: the mechanism keeps time only while the column stays inside the band.
How to play, in short
Tapping the screen drains the mercury when you hit above the column and fills it when you hit below. Every beat kept scores, and a run of consecutive beats multiplies the gain. A miss resets the combo and costs one of the clockwork's three gears.
Each lap makes the tempo band move faster and the beat quicker.
Controls
Controls:
- Tap/click the screen — drain or fill the mercury
- Space/Enter — start and restart
- The longer you hold the column in the band, the higher the multiplier
A few final tips
- Check out the demo mode on the game page — the AI shows how it is played, and repeating it yourself gets much easier.
- Play in short sessions: the best results come with a warmed-up head.
