Post Office: Mail Sorting
Most arcades test reflexes. Post Office: Mail Sorting tests something more interesting: the ability to hold on to a rule that has just changed.
Two features, one rule
Every letter carries two features: envelope colour and stamp shape. The boxes on the desk differ by colour and shape too. A banner on top says which one matters right now: sort by colour — or by shape.
While the rule holds, it is easy. But it flips on its own, without warning, and that is where the real attention workout begins: your eye already reaches for the familiar colour while your head has to stop and check the shape.
Why it sticks
- Short shifts. A mistake costs a life, and a shift ends quickly — one more run is a single tap away.
- Honest difficulty curve. Letters move faster and the rule flips more often, but every speed-up feels earned.
- Streaks. Consecutive correct answers raise the multiplier, and greed starts fighting accuracy.
- Instant feedback. Every tap answers immediately: a flash, a sound, a score bump.
How to play better
Do not try to predict the next rule — read the banner every time it blinks. And do not be afraid to skip a letter: a skip costs nothing, a mistake costs a life. Sometimes the best move is to skip and keep the streak.
