Sokoban: Push & Place — an honest story about a game that owns your evening

Sometimes the simplest-looking game hooks you harder than a blockbuster. This is exactly that case: the rules take a minute to learn, and putting it down is much harder.

What this game is

Classic Sokoban: the worker pushes crates forward, never pulls them. Place every crate exactly on the glowing spots to clear the level. Hit a wall or another crate and you'll have to rethink your route. 100 hand-built levels from easy to devious, with an on-screen step counter and Back/Next buttons to switch levels.

Controls

Controls: arrows or WASD on the keyboard; on mobile — the on-screen d-pad. Step and push sounds can be muted with the sound button on the game page.

A few final tips

  • Check out the demo mode on the game page — the AI shows how it is played, and repeating it yourself gets much easier.
  • Play in short sessions: the best results come with a warmed-up head.

Simple on the surface, deep underneath — exactly the kind of game that never ages. Ready to try? "Sokoban: Push & Place"
