Business Tycoon — an office sim where the employees never sleep

Business Tycoon

Most tycoon games start with a factory or a theme park. This one starts with an empty floor and $10,000 in the bank. And instead of workers — AI agents, each with their own role, skill, and more importantly, a mood.

What to do first

An office is not a set of rooms, it is a graph. Every room needs a corridor or it sits idle. So the first move is almost always the same: run a corridor from the lobby to the SEO or support office, and only then build the next one.

Then — hiring. Agents come with a role (developer, designer, marketer) and a skill that grows from completed tasks. But they have energy and a mood: overload the team and efficiency drops, then a notification arrives that someone wants a raise. Sometimes it is cheaper to let them go than to keep them.

Where the money is

  • Projects — the main revenue. Each has phases, and free agents are assigned to them.
  • Reputation — unlocks new rooms: a marketing HQ needs $10,000 in revenue, a legal department needs $60,000.
  • Marketing budget — daily ad spend that speeds up the flow of clients.
  • Loan — the bank lends money at interest when the cash register is empty. The main thing is not to declare bankruptcy.

AI CEO mode

If you want to watch the company develop on its own, turn on AI CEO mode — the director will make decisions for you. It is a good way to spy on someone else's strategy before building your own.

Who will enjoy it

Players who like simulators where the result is not immediate: first you spend half an hour building three rooms and one developer, and then you watch the office grow over the whole floor, projects flow in a stream, and the cash register grows. It is a slow but addictive loop — every corridor rearrangement or hiring the right person is immediately visible on the revenue chart.
