Heads or Tails — House Bet

Heads or Tails: House Bet

A roguelike where cards are coins. You toss them; heads pay chips, tails pay mult, and every toss scores chips × mult. The goal is to beat the House's bet — and climb eight antes to the very top.

After each toss you choose: score the points or re-flip some coins. Re-flipping is both risk and tool: glass coins give ×2 but can shatter, steel coins hold ×1.2 while in hand, and two-headed or two-tailed coins always land one side. Combos like MIDAS, NOCTURNE and PENDULUM pile on bonus chips and mult for lucky layouts.

Between rounds the shop opens. You start with $4, earned from won rounds and interest. Spend it on charms, fortunes, coin upgrades and extra re-flips — the trick is finding synergy between coin materials and charms. Each ante ends with three bosses: Small Bet, Big Bet and Boss Bet.

Strategy: never spend all your coins at once — the round ends the moment you run out. And remember the best hand isn't luck, it's the right table before the toss.

Controls are mostly mouse: click to select a coin, TOSS to throw, SCORE to bank points, click a coin in a slot to re-flip it. B — shop, J — journal, Esc — pause.
