Deck Seeker: a roguelike where you build your own path

Deckbuilding roguelikes like Slay the Spire hook you because every run is a new story. Deck Seeker takes the tastiest part: you are not just playing cards, you are building the deck that is your character.

Why this is not "just solitaire"

There is no luck in the draw — there is a decision about what to keep and what to add. After each fight you pick one of three cards. Over time the deck changes character: from random swings it becomes a machine where defence feeds attack and heavy hits finish on turn two.

How a run works

Four foes in a row, from a weak slime to a dragon. At the start: 3 energy and 5 cards in hand. Block matters: it burns at the start of your turn, so defend exactly when you expect a hit. Read the foe's "intent" — it tells you how much damage is coming.

How to begin

Do not spend energy on everything. First make sure you survive the next turn, then hit. Strike for 6 and Bash for 11 are the core; save Heal for the dragon.

Life-hacks

  • Block does not stack: drop it against the specific incoming hit or waste it.
  • Pick reward cards that fit the style you already have, not at random.
  • If you can finish the foe in two turns, skip defence and go for the kill.
