CityMaker: 2048 where cities grow

Everyone knows the 2048 formula: slide tiles, merge equals, score bigger. CityMaker takes that mechanic and changes the scale — instead of numbers there are buildings, and instead of an abstract board there are real cities of the world. A siheyuan courtyard merges into the CCTV headquarters, that merges into the next tier, all the way up to the Great Wall. Every move slides the entire city, and a new block grows in a corner, so overflowing the board hurts just as much as in the original.

The highlight is the 3D presentation. The city is not drawn, it is built: buildings stand on the board as volumetric models, weather changes the lighting, and the 11-landmark collection per city turns a run into a small architectural journey. Beijing, Hong Kong, Dubai, London, New York, Paris, Rome, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo — twelve chapters, each with its own buildings and palette.

The game is fully available in Russian and English with a language switcher and a high-score table. Stuck? There is undo, and your best result for every city is saved.

Fans of the classic: start with the original — 2048, read the rules and strategy in 2048, then come back to build cities.
