Midnight Pursuit: a close look, tips and whether it is worth your time
If you enjoy games where you get behind the wheel first, step out on foot later and shoot from behind a corner, this one is for you. Below is everything you need before the first launch: the gist, the controls and some working techniques.

What this game is
"Midnight Pursuit" is a noir action chase set in New Meridian, 1957: two in the morning, and it is raining. You are detective Frank Calder, and you have to deal with a man named Vance: he has a black sedan, four men with him, and a dock pass for Pier 9 in his pocket.
The city is small but alive: six blocks, four avenues and three streets, the harbour and Pier 9, moving traffic and a streetcar, police lights and neon signs. Any parked car can be taken — a taxi will do — but the black sedan has to be chased down.
How to play, in short
1. Get into any car and put the lights on: the city is alive at night, the streetcar runs on its rails, and the signs burn neon.
2. Chase down the black sedan — ram it into the kerb or shoot through the window until its crew runs out of patience.
3. Then it turns into a fight on foot at Pier 9: cover, reloads, ammunition. What matters at the end is how many seconds you lasted and how many shots you did not waste.
A few final tips
- Check out the demo mode on the game page — the AI shows how it is played, and repeating it yourself gets much easier.
- The best chase tactic is not to follow, but to cut it off: the sedan turns at the lights, and parking across a street is often faster than ramming.
- Play in short sessions: the level is short, and the best results come with a warmed-up head.
