Ashline Outpost — a survival arena where every wave is an exam
Ashline Outpost
In some shooters the story pushes you forward. Here there is nowhere to run: you stand in the middle of an arena, brush all around, and someone is in that brush. Waves come one after another and cannot be stopped — you can only last one extra minute.

What the defence is built from
The arsenal is not just different damage, it is a different way to play:
- Pistol — the starter weapon: precise, economical, punishing on misses.
- Shotgun — unlocked in the shop; a crowd at point blank ends with one shot.
- Rifle — range and crowd control on open ground.
On top: grenades, a shove (pushes back rushing enemies and buys you air), and a burst that saves you when cornered. Aiming with the right button raises accuracy but slows you — every choice costs something.
What happens between waves
There is a real economy here. Enemies drop stash, and between waves a resupply shop opens: ammo, medkits, perks. Three perks change your style:
- Quick Hands — reload becomes almost instant.
- Tough — more health, more right to make a mistake.
- Demo — grenades cover a wider area.
Every fifth wave is a boss, the "Raider Captain", and you must arrive prepared, not with an empty magazine.
Why you want to replay
Waves are endless — there will be no end credits. But there is a stash and a best score saved between sessions. That is the loop "died a bit later than last time", and it is exactly what hooks you: you remember the wave where you broke, and you know which perk you should have bought instead of a second medkit.
Three biomes — forest, swamp, wasteland — change not only the picture but how the space reads: somewhere enemies appear out of fog, somewhere you see far but have no cover.
Who will enjoy it
Fans of old-school top-down shooters who care about rhythm, not graphics: the tension of a wave — the breather of the shop — tension again. A short match, clear rules, no tutorial — the controls are written right on the menu screen.
